A good brass Graphometer signed Meurand Quai de l' Horloge Paris 1792. The protractor is graduated with two engraved scales. The central glazed brass compass has engraved wind rose with letters for the seven wind directions and a fleur de lys for North. The edge is graduated in degrees in four quadrants and there is a blued steel needle.including an original leather case and a later rosewood stand.
