A fine 19th century English mahogany Travel or Domestic Medicine Chest ca. 1840. the double doors each with fitted red plush lined compartments for six bottles with an assortment of medicinal powders and liquids, opening to reveal a top shelf with four larger bottles, two drawers, containing assorted medical accessories including a pestle and mortar etc...the rear of the chest with slide revealing the 'poison compartment' with five five matching jars with various contends, the chest complete with brass handle.
